A company’s business and operating strategy should drive its Total Rewards approach. However, this linkage will often weaken over time because a firm’s strategic choices (business, operating and human capital) are dynamic not static. Every company, knowingly or unknowingly chooses a particular Total Rewards Model for how it chooses to manage its over Total Rewards.
